Description

  • Basic, classic Raspberry Pi Camera Module V2 board enclosure (Module not included)
  • Black base and clear top
  • Keep your Pi Camera safe and secure
  • Works with Pi Camera v1 and v2
  • Two slots on the side to strap it
  • 1/4" Tripod mount on the back

The Raspberry Pi Camera Board Case w/ 1/4" Tripod Mount is made of ultra-durable, super-glossy polycarbonate, it is both good looking and tough enough to toss into your pocket, bookbag, or toolbox. It has an easy-to-access slim opening for your camera cable to extend out from the camera module. The camera board sits nicely in the base, latching to the four little pegs, and the lid fits snugly on top. There's also a tiny hole in the lid so not to distort the capturing of images.

Please note: the Pi Camera v2 (8 Megapixel) is just a bit thicker than the original, which might cause the camera to press against the case and cause blurry images, depending on how it is focused. The easiest way to fix is remove the sticky-rubber spacer that is between the camera module and PCB. Gently remove the camera module from the PCB, peel off the spacer, and replug the camera module.

It is ok

The back panel fit good with camera. However, the front panel cannot be installed because it pushes on the camera which affect video quality

a great case for the pi camera

An excellent pi camera case. Please note that if one uses this case with the latest pi camera module V2 and that pi camera has a piece of sponge rubber between the camera and its circuit board then the camera is a tight fit in the case. The solution is to remove the piece of sponge rubber.

Simple and Excellent

Works Fine, when I first put my RPi v2 camera in, it was a real tight fit and the camera was out of Focus. Searched it online and it was an easy fix. Behind the camera on the circuit board is a foam disk stuck to the board. Simply disconnect the camera from the board and remove the foam disk, and re connect the camera, Problem solved.

Great for AUTHENTIC RPi camera boards

Great little enclosure that makes mounting a RPi camera trivial. Please not that I made the mistake of buying a Raspberry Pi 5MP camera board off eBay for $5. Not only was it FAKE (it isn't recognized properly in Raspbian), the lens opening in the enclosure doesn't align properly to the fake board. Just buy a real RPi camera board and this enclosure and you'll be set.
