Cory Kidd, an inventor at MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology), has developed a coach robot which helps people who need to to lose weight.
In fact, the robot tells those who have the willpower what they need to hear.
It helps them by telling them their diet, by repeating to them what they need to do but also by encouraging them.
Autom is 38 centimeters tall (15 inches).
The robot will cost 500 dollars and will have a female voice.
It should be on sale in 2010. It’s worth noting that the global weight loss industry amounts to 80 billion dollars each year. To give you an idea, the robotics industry is worth 17 billion per year (industrial and service robots).
We’ll be sure to let you know the moment we have the product in our online robot store.
