MakerBot Industries keeps innovating in the 3D printing field. Not very long ago, they unveiled the replicator, a more performant 3D printer that enabled hobbyists to print larger and more complex objects. Now, a few days ago actually, they released the new Replicator 2. It features a larger building capacity, finer resolution and a powder coated steel chassis that makes it sturdy and reliable among many other features.

This new 3D printer is aimed at professionals and makers who need an affordable and easy to use desktop tool that can create precise prototypes. In order to help in this process, they also released Makerware, a new software that is friendlier to use and removes many of the complexities of 3D printing.
