Turtle on a Roomba

Turtle Roomba

We’ve already seen cats which took pleasure in walking on the Roomba.

But this is quite unheard of, it could be a first: a turtle on the iRobot vacuum cleaner!

She seems to be really enjoying the walk because she doesn’t look like she wants to try to get back down, except at the end of the video.

The Roomba is one of those robots which has been used for testing most things, either for fun with passengers like below, or by hacks to improve it or divert its original purpose.

Late Late Show

A week ago we told you about the skeleton robot by CBS.

Well, just imagine that this prototype was such a hit with the public that CBS has decided to give it a job on Craig Feguson’s Late Late Show.

It’s even been given a name: Geoff Peterson.

The humanoid skeleton was built by Grant Imahara from Mythbusters.

What’s more, Geoff Peterson already has its own Twitter account: twitter.com/geoffpeterson_

We don’t yet know if it will stay in the post for long but why not: Geoff seems to please the audience.

Meanwhile, here’s one of its first public performances:

CBS’s Skeleton Robot

Skeleton Robot

The American television channel, CBS, has decided to build a prototype of a skeleton robot for its program The Late Late Show presented by Craig Ferguson.

Grant Imahara from Mythbusters is glued to the task of completing this android prototype.

As you would suspect with this type of program, it can only be late-night dark humor ; -)

And the result is surprising to say the least…

We don’t condone this type of hostile behavior from robots; at RobotShop, our robots are very friendly and sociable!!

Hey CBS, come take a look at RobotShop! :-)

Robot Paparazzi

It had to be invented and the Ohio University has done it: a Robot Paparazzi.

Paparazzi Bot is mounted on wheels and moves by itself.

When it spots the future “star” that is in you, especially if you smile, it will most likely take a picture of you.

It then sends your picture over a social network.

And voilà, you become a celebrity :-)

Robot Egg Bug

Here is a rather amusing image that attracted our attention.

We see an army of eggs with robotic … legs and eyes.

But it looks like one of them took to its heels!

Lol :-)
