Robotinho is a museum guide robot that talks and gives explanations to groups of children and tourists.
But its main feature lies in its means of locomotion: the Roomba QuadDrive, 4 Roomba robot vacuums placed side by side with a Robotis Dynamixel RX-64 servo, which makes it an omnidirectional robot.
It’s a creation of the University of Bonn (Germany) intended for the museum in Bonn.
The Quaddrive can carry a 20 kg load (the robot guide) and moves at a speed of 0.5 m/s.
The Robotinho is definitely original; in any case, it seems to amuse the children!
