Bioloid

Bioloid Kit

Here’s a video which shows the full range of the capacities of Bioloid robots.

They’re dancing here to the song “Sorry, Sorry” (5 humanoids synchronized) and then one of them (transformed into a robot dog) opens the refrigerator so that a second one can help itself to what’s inside.

Next the Bioloid do a little demonstration for us of their sportive attributes as acrobats. And you’ll notice that even the dog gets into it!

Then we finish with some push-ups.

Quite simply incredible!

At RobotShop we sell the Bioloid Expert Kit by Robotis (various kinds of robots possible in a single kit).

Bioloid Climbing Robot

The Bioloid is an autonomous robot capable of climbing a wall.

Notice the size accuracy: it is not a sequence that the robot has learned by heart, but a fully autonomous and improvised development according to the data and the supports that it sees in front of it. The robot is based on the X-Y positions of its attachments.

Future versions of this prototype will include a complete visual system with video camera.

This is a university project by Marco Wickrath (Technical University of Dortmund in Germany in collaboration with the University of Manitoba in Canada.
