Ball Picker Robot Demystified

Laying out the basics

BallPicker is a 4 feet wide, 4.5 feet long and more or less 1.5 feet high. This 65 kilos golf ball picker robot is a two wheel propelled specialized golf ball picking unit, which is powered by a rechargeable nickel cadmium battery. The BallPicker can collect anywhere from 10 000 to 12 000 golf balls a day!

If you are a serious golf player, you know how exciting it is to shoot for the ball picker, a ritual most golf players have adopted. Well, BallPicker rides at a peak speed of 3.6 km an hour, which is a little more than 2 miles an hour. It’s a good target for players of a 10 to 20 handicap. Now don’t expect it to go crazy when you score, it’s a robot! Now the good news Good for beginners, the BallPicker slows to 0.6 mile an hour when coming close to obstacles to avoid high speed impact, which makes it an easier target. It also explains why you have probably never heard of an accident involving a robot ball picker to date!

How does it work?

BallPicker is started by hand and operates randomly within a wire limited perimeter to avoid it driving to town without parental approval. The electrical ball picker produces literally no sound and no emissions, therefore not disturbing the player’s at play.

The balls are delicately recovered by polyethylene discs rotating under the BallPicker and are stocked in a 400 ball capacity reservoir. Once the BallPicker has completed the harvest, it returns back to its station and releases the goods through an access attached to the reservoir and launches back to work.

Why would someone want a Golf ball picking robot?

BallPicker is certainly better for your back and performs quite well under pressure and does quite a good harvest a day. BallPicker operates 24/7 and never stops to complain. This silent and green robot can work while customers are around without being too intrusive. An optional golf ball elevator makes it easy for the ball picker to release the collected balls which are then elevated to the ball cleaning facility.
