Great motor shield

Easy to use with arduino.

user friendly with a cost

This shield works great and is simple to set up. The only drawback is that it dedicates certain pwm pins to the motor output, tying up one timer on your microcontroller...this resulted in some timer conflicts with other devices since the timer the shield uses can't be redefined. It's not something that's a big issue unless you are integrating a lot of peripheral devices.

Love this motor shield

I used with UNO and not the Rover and it is a strong robust motor controller. Love those extra male signal pins and the male 5v and gnd pins. Very handy and I did not need a protoshield or similar to make connections. I had a wiring short on my initial build and tried to ran the motors for several minutes several times drawing 2 amps and no damage to the motor controller, Nice.
