  • Arduino Shield Headers
    Good value
    Review by Jeremy
I purchased this to solder onto a APM board for telemetry output. Worked out great! Quality seems good.

  • Acrylic Base for Arduino UNO
poor quality base, wrong mounting hardware, don't buy!
    Review by borgchick
I got two of these, but the acrylic boards both came already pretty scratched up. The screws it comes with for mounting at 8mm, which is too short to mount any Arduino because the board itself is 6mm thick.

So basically unless you buy 12mm screws separately, you aren't going to be able to use this at all.

  • FTDI USB-to-TTL (Serial) Cable 5V
    as advertised
    Review by Ward
I use this cable to interface with xBee boards, works well.

  • Wall Adapter Power Supply - 9VDC 650mA
    Great for Microcontroller
    Review by Ruslan
Compatible with Arduino boards. Provides enough current and voltage to the micro controller.

Robot Construction Kits

Posted on April 23, 2014

By Coleman Benson & filled under Robotics Projects & Kits, Where to Start.

Robot Construction Kits can be distinguished from normal robot kits since they use modular parts and allow you to assemble different robots using the same parts. A robot kit on the other hand only allows you to build one robot. Robot construction kits are a great investment because they tend to include everything you need [...]

By Coleman Benson & filled under Electronics, Mechanics.

Barobo‘s Linkbot all-in-one smart actuators allow anyone without any knowledge of robotics to create and “program” robots. Each actuator is packed with many features including: • Atmel AVR Microcontroller: Compatible with Arduino so you can re-flash with your own firmware using the on-board bootloader • ZigBee-Capable Radio: Communicate wirelessly with an 802.15.4-compliant radio, create mesh [...]

Meet the DFRobotShop Omni Rover

Posted on August 14, 2012

By Coleman Benson & filled under Robotics Projects & Kits.

Most three and four wheel drive omnidirectional robots cost $500 and up and are usually intended for the research rather than the hobbyist market. For those who have the knowledge to design and build their own omniwheel driven robot, matching all the parts can be a daunting task: finding the right motors, sourcing the wheels, [...]

Well, the BotBoarduino is in fact an Arduino compatible microcontroller.
It is used just like an Arduino Duemilanove but has more connections and features on-board.

BTW: Thanks, those pictures are from my design.. lol

Hello -

What wheels does this kit come with? What diameter?

http://www.robotshop.com/en/4wd-arduino-compatible-basic-mecanum-robot.html

Are they wheels that can be purchased from RoboShop for replacement?

Thanks!
