This is the powerful Banebots RS-550 DC Motor with a 3-pole balanced armature. This motor can also be purchased with a choice of planetary geardowns which reduces the speed and increases torque. If you are using this motor with a microcontroller, you will need a powerful motor controller.

Very happy with motor!!!

I replaced a couple of HPI GT 550's with this motor and could not be more pleased thus far. I was only getting about 1-2 weeks use out of the HPI's before losing a brush holder. These have already outlasted the HPI GT 550's by twice as long and still going!!
