Fischertechnik is one of the leaders in multi-language support. Their assembly guides and manuals are in at least 6 languages, French included. The software however may not always be in all languages. You can try the software here.

The motor Set XSis plug and play - you need only to connect it to a 9V power supply and it will start rotating. In order to use the gears etc, they are really intended to be used with the Fishertechnik modular construction system. You may be able to design and build your own brackets as well.
