The Hagisonic StarGazer Robot Localization System is a unique solution for Indoor localization of intelligent mobile robots. It analyzes infrared ray images reflected from a passive landmark with characteristic ID. The output of position and heading angle of a robot is given with very precise resolution and high speed. It is remarkably robust in environments that contain
infrared and fluorescence lights or sunshine. It is the worlds best in performance, convenience and cost.

Basic Concept:
As a ship navigates by the stars, a mobile robot makes an autonomous navigation by artificial landmarks attached on the ceiling. 
Each landmark has an independent ID number and information on the position and angle of an autonomous robot.

How it Works:
1) The IR projector in StarGazer shoots off infrared rays at the landmarks on the ceiling.
2) Then, the landmark points reflects back the rays to the StarGazer on top of a robot.
3) At the same time, the reflected infrared rays are turned into an image by the StarGazer CMOS camera.
4) Through digital image processing, StarGazer calculates the position and angle of a robot by analyzing the acquired image.
