  • Parallax Propeller P8X32A Microcontroller QuickStart
    Great Multi-Procesor board
    Review by Maquina Pensante Ottawa
The Parallax propeller chip acts as eight "independent" processors ("cog") that make it very easy to create complex applications (robotics, games, embedded solutions, etc.) with out having to worry about interrupts. These boards have a 40 pin expansion port that make prototyping very easy (using the optional Parallax P8X32A QuickStart Proto Board Kit for example)

Phantom Sentinel, The Nearly Invisible Flying Drone

Posted on October 07, 2006

By William Cox & filled under Industry.

VeraTech Aero, a Minnesota USA based company, has invented an aircraft that is nearly invisible to the naked eye. The secret to this technology is the concept of persistance of vision, or the lack thereof. The aircraft is uniquely created so that as it spins, its center of mass is in open space. This means [...]

... flashing, and the speaker chirps every 1.5-2 seconds). I originally had FTDI drivers already installed on the computer because of my work with the Propeller Chip - and that seemed to automatically recognise the FTDI chip on the Botboarduino, and install the drivers for it. This created a serial ...

On the other end of things, if you put the ESCs under the propellers, there's no way to get the power connectors from the rear rotors all the way up to the power harness thing. I'm guessing I'm going to have ...

Many people have fly them with a GoPro up front and ...

... too big for the frame anyway. The IronMan 650 will be easier as there is nothing in the way of the motor mount. You have to know which battery and propeller you want to use on the motor in order to choose the ESC. 18A TMotor or 30A Lynxmotion will work and they are about the same size. * http://www.robotshop.com/en/18a-400khz-multirotor-electronic-speed-controller-esc.html ...

Well, most mutlticopter will have some tilt one side or the other at takeoff because of the ground effect of the propellers. You don't want to stay close to the ground very long but go at about 1-2' and hover there. It could also be a problem in motor/propeller rotation and a mix ...
