Ergo Systems Autopetfeeder Medium Base is a light gray colored part where the food storage container is seated and the bowl is attached. The base houses the motor, auger and agitator.
Auger is a horizontally placed screw (made of steel and nylon) attached to the motor to push food out, from the storage container. This part is located behind the auger cover.
Agitator is a spring loop on a vertical shaft inside the storage container to loosen and prevent from food becoming stale. It is available only in medium and large feeders. Agitator shaft is an off set shaft on the top of the base that rotates the agitator spring.
