Love this robot

The Braccio arm went together very cleanly and fast with no surprises. I has afraid that its size would make it unstable but it is very solid and stable. The coding provided made getting the arm to things very easy and fast with limited lines of code, a bonus. It is also very accurate for its size, in one routine it returned the ball to the exact location every time +-2mm. Thanks

Excellent

The robot arm has excellent build quality. The size is also quite big, which is great.

Awesome

The arm goes together easily, and is easy to program. I'm currently trying to get it working with some ROS packages that I found on GitHub.

This Arm Rocks

I was concerned with jitteryness and ease of use and strength. But I was impressed at the cost/quality ratio. It's a solid little arm that has the libraries built in and works great. The only things I dislike are: 1) If you feed the script anything other than a perfect value in the Bracio's range... (lets say you fed it a negative angle or "140a" instead of "140") Then the arm "dances" and will bump itself into things and wreak havoc on your work area or those poor servos. 2) Calibration is an entirely manual process. I couldn't figure out how to open the library to "calibrate" the arm by moving the range from "0 - 180" to "-5 to 175" for example. The only recourse seemed to be to limit your motion from 0-175 and lose 5 degrees. (or try your hand and manually straightening the arm out which is a pain). Still even with these quirks, the arm is a 5/5 given how little effort it takes to get up and going.

Very pleased with this product!

The robot arm went together quickly, the illustrated instruction sheet was most helpful. Though the screws provided seem a bit short for joining the middle and upper arm halves, the completed structure feels fairly solid. The arm operates very well, but I'm hearing a lot of noise from the servos. Not sure if this is a problem. Servo noises from a previous make/model of arm I built indicated the servos were trying to operate outside of their range, or were overloaded, resulting in excessive heat and servo damage. So far this doesn't seem to be the case with this product. The robot arm is very stable throughout it's range of motion, with no excessive jerking or wobble. The provided shield works well with my Arduino Mega 2560 (clone) board. The Arduino / Braccio library greatly simplifies the programming and eliminates many lines of code. This is a great little product for the price and Robot Shop's price for it was the best I could find.
