 Post subject: ps2 tutorial
Hello all

I have recently pucse a chr-01 robot and ps2 controller my bot board is not working I can program to it and make speaker sounds but that's it I think it is a jumper setting but I don't know which one I fixed the problem with a bread board and rs232 connection it works I can centre my servos using code I made. my real problem is the ps2 controller I get it to link with the receiver but the numbers in the build 34 tutorial come in zeros just zeros

Does anybody know the mistake I mite of made?
Electronics:
I have a basic atom pro
ssc32
lynxmotion ps2
and a bread board like I said
Wiring:
clk p14
sel p13
cmd p12
dat p11
Speaker p9
The ssc 32 p15 (but not needed now I just want the ps2 build 34 tutorial to work)
Servos stand set up like build 99c
Thanks in advance

Dean

I'm not excited about trying to help you with your breadboard circuit. What does the breadborded circuit do that the Bot Board II does not? In an effort to make troubleshooting as easy as possible we instruct people to build the kits using our instructions, and to stop and ask for help when something does not work as expected. Please go back to the tutorials and tell us at what point the robot does not do what the tutorial says it should.

the bot board does not work can you post picture where the jumpers must be and i will try it again but the home made circuit is working so that is not the problem. The problem is the ps2 controller not giveing me the numbers i expected and the end result of not controlling the robot

thanks

There needs to be a pull-up resistor on the clock line. We use specific pins on the Atom Pro for a reason. I'm not going to try changing them on this end to see if it works or not. ;)

the result is the same still zeros just to be sure the pull up resistor is a 1k resistor on the Clk line

thanks

I double checked and it's actually the Clock and Data line that should have a 1k pullup on them. Good job on getting it to work.
