RoboCup 2007 is going on right now (July 3rd – 10th)  in Atlanta GA, on the campus of Georgia Tech University.

This international competition pits teams of robotic soccer players against each other.

This year will see the addition of the brand new "Nanogram Demonstration challenges", where robots in the 10s to 100s of micrometers in size, are required to manipulate objects and perform certain tasks. The competition will take place under a microscope (!) and will be broadcasted to large screens for the audience to see.

Just a quick note that after a brief hiatus, GoRobotics.net should be back in business. I appreciate everyone's patience in letting me take some time off to work on my Masters Degree and to get married. The degree isn't done yet, but I should have a bit more time on my hands to blog.
