I found the LA at Lego education. They sell it with two mounting components.

Again, they want $15 for the kit. They are a good resource for technic stuff, prices are in line with the Lego shop, just an unusual offering.

$8-15 each, depending on where you live. Much cheaper in Europe for some reason.

Goofy, The actuators appear in LEGO sets Excavator 8294 and Telescopic Handler 8295. If you just want the actuator, looks like you can buy them off of BrickLink.

Nice design of linear actuator. And it’s good that it can be use as an alternative to other actuator that is too much expensive.
