The Kitronik Deluxe Stereo Audio Amplifier Kit w/ 3.5mm Jack is a high-quality audio amplifier kit that is compatible with any personal stereo equipment, including MP3 players and mobile devices such as tablets and phones equipped with a 3.5mm jack socket. The kit is designed with M3 mounting holes at each corner, allowing for easy and secure attachment to an enclosure.

The kit is equipped with two FM8002A mono amplifier ICs, one for each channel. These are surface-mounted components that are pre-fitted to the PCB. Once the circuit is fully assembled and the speakers are attached, the amplifier can output 1.5W per channel into 8ohm speakers.
The kit also includes an on/off switch status LED and a dual wipe potentiometer volume control for easy operation. It is powered by a 3 x AA battery holder with flying leads. Please note that batteries are not included with the kit.
The kit requires a 5V supply and draws less than 100mA, making it suitable for powering with a standard phone charger or computer USB port. The two-way on/off switch allows for easy selection between power sources. If both batteries and USB power are connected, the USB option can be selected with the switch and turned off at the wall to power down. If only one power source is connected and selected, the switch can be toggled the other way to power down.
Please note that assembly and soldering are required for this kit. This kit serves as an alternative to the discontinued 2141 Deluxe Stereo Amplifier Kit, with similar features but differing power options.
