The OpenBuilds LEAD CNC Machine 1010 (40 x 40 in) Black is a versatile 3D router that allows users to create intricate carvings, inlays, and works of art. This machine is perfect for starting a business, creating unique gifts, or becoming a digital carpenter in the 21st century. The assembly process is easy and intuitive, and the possibilities with the LEAD CNC Machine are limitless.

The kit includes everything needed to assemble and wire the machine, with optional add-ons available to complete the fully functional CNC machine, such as a CNC controller, stepper motors, power supply, and router. The machine features a travel work area of 29" (730mm) on the X-axis, 32" (810mm) on the Y-axis, and 4" (~100mm) on the Z-axis. It has a workable material height of 2" (~47mm) based on a 1/2" spoiler board stack and a machining accuracy of 0.001"~0.003" (0.05mm~0.10mm). The footprint measures 45" x 45" (1148mm x 1148mm) in length and width, with a height of 21" (550mm).

The kit includes C-Beam linear rail, an 8mm Acme lead screw, an X-large C-Beam plate, an Xtreme Solid V wheel, a wiring kit, and assembly hardware. Optional add-ons include the BlackBox X32 motion control, 24V power supply, NEMA 23 stepper motor, RoutER11, and dust shoe. Expansion kits for the OpenBuilds LEAD machine, such as the High Z Mod for the LEAD 1010 and CNC Machine Laser, are sold separately.

Included at no additional cost are the OpenBuilds CAM and CONTROL software, which provide everything needed to get started with the machine. Alternatively, users can purchase one of Vectric's CAD/CAM solutions for additional features. The LEAD CNC Machine is compatible with a variety of materials, including cast acrylic, soft and hardwood, non-ferrous metals, MDF, HDPE, and foam.

Note: The 1/2" spoil board is not included in the kit and is available at local hardware stores. The recommended size is H1/2" x W32" x L40".
