512MB not 256MB as claimed

The spec claims to be only 256MB of ram, but this has 512MB. It uses less power than the B+. Downside is no Ethernet (I use wifi dongle), and just one USB port (plug a hub if you need more). Once you add a wifi dongle, the price becomes the same as a B+, but you can remove the dongle once configured if you don't need connectivity.

Very nice Pi for connecting many sensors and conserving power

With 40pin GPIO, camera slot and minimal power consumption this board is super powerful for robotics. If you want your program to make more or less real-time GPIO you should use /dev/gpiomem rather than sysfs (when on Linux). You can always use a USB hub and connect both keyboard and wifi dongle for initial setup. I didn't even need the hub to be powered, which was surprising.
