The SeeedStudio XIAO ESP32S3 Sense w/ WiFi, BLE, OV2640, Mic, 8MB, IoT, Embedded ML is a sophisticated development board that utilizes a dual-core ESP32S3 chip. This chip supports both Wi-Fi and BLE wireless connectivities and facilitates battery charging. The board is equipped with an integrated camera sensor and a digital microphone, and it provides 8 MB PSRAM and 8MB FLASH, along with an external SD card slot. These features render it suitable for embedded Machine Learning applications, such as intelligent voice and vision Artificial Intelligence.

The board's integration of a camera sensor, digital microphone, and SD card support, combined with its embedded Machine Learning computing power and photography capability, make it an excellent tool for exploring intelligent voice and vision AI. It incorporates the ESP32S3 32-bit, dual-core, Xtensa processor chip, which operates at up to 240 MHz, and supports Arduino / MicroPython.

The board features a detachable OV2640 camera sensor, capable of delivering a resolution of 1600 x 1200. It is also compatible with the OV5640 camera sensor and includes an additional digital microphone. The board supports an SD card slot for external 32 GB FAT memory and facilitates 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and BLE dual wireless communication. It can support remote communication over 100 m when connected with a U.FL antenna.

The board is designed around a highly-integrated, Xtensa processor ESP32-S3R8 SoC, which supports 2.4 GHz WiFi and low-power Bluetooth® BLE 5.0 dual-mode for a variety of wireless applications. It also has lithium battery charge management capability. The board includes a plug-in OV2640 camera sensor capable of displaying full 1600 x 1200 resolution, and its base is compatible with OV5640, supporting up to 2592 x 1944 resolution. The digital microphone is included for voice sensing and audio recognition.

The powerful SoC and built-in sensors of this development board, along with 8MB PSRAM and 8MB FLASH on the chip, and an additional SD card slot supporting up to 32 GB FAT memory, allow for more programming space and open up a wealth of possibilities for embedded Machine Learning scenarios. The board maintains a classic thumb-sized form-factor design and the elegant productization of single-sided component mounting.
