• 2A 5V-16V dual serial motor controller
• Serial interface
• Based on the L298 Dual Full-Bridge Motor Driver
• RoHS compliant
The SFE 2A 5V-16V Dual Serial Motor Controller allows to control up to two DC motors using a serial command interface. The interface is easy to operate and it makes the user to select an individual motor, the direction, and the desired speed to be constant (up to 10 different speed from stop to full speed). The board is based on the L298 Dual Full-Bridge Motor Driver from ST Micro. The driver can provide up to 4 Amps of current to the motors (2 Amps per motor).
The power can be applied to either of the two-pin JST connector or the GND and VCC header pins. The supplied power should be DC and within 5-16V. The pin labeled with '5V' should only be used as an output. The serial command interface used to control the motors are very straightforward. The command consists of four characters: the motor number, the direction indicator, the speed constant, and a carriage return. The baud rate of the Serial Controlled Motor Driver is fixed to 115200bps (8-N-1).
Features:
• Serially control two motors separately
- 115200bps (8-N-1)
