Good product.

General

Good for beginners. However, soldering on motors is necessary.
Bolt for the battery pack is not long enough.
Manual is not good enough.
Manual need to specify the direction of motors, the soldering parts need to be inside, for the wire not to interfere the wheels.
The head of the bolts for the motor mount is a little larger than necessary and interferes wheels when the wheel is attached tightly.
Overall, it's a good product for the price.

Great starter kit

I have been wanting to get into combat robotics for some time. While this is not really a combat kit, I was able to use these motors and platform in conjunction with a receiver and two FingerTech ESCs to make a basic RC bot!

If your into electronics with Arduino or Raspberry pi and not sure if you want to get into robotics, then this is an excellent kit to try robotics. For a few dollars you get a chassis, motors and wheels that just need your microcontroler and a motor controller to test your interest in Robotics, I did and now I'm into larger kits and RC hacks. Great start! Just do it!

Great for beginners and workshops

I help run a community robotics program in partnership with our local public library. We are using this platform to teach students the basics of robotics, electronics, and programming. We use Raspberry Pis to control them but Arduinos would be just as good (and cheaper). All you need to add is a motor control board and the platform of your choice, maybe an ultrasonic distance sensor to make things more fun. Easily assembled by enthusiastic kids or teens and excellent value!
