Works Great

Review by Mahmood

Does what it's supposed to for a good price.

Very good

Review by Antonio

Very good price, very good sensor. I bought 4 of them for a sumobot. Ideal to use with the Arduino Input Capture Unit. You can also connect the echo of several of these sensors to the same pin using OR gates.

Review by Jiri

Works great. Good quality/price ratio.

Worked Perfectly

Review by Mark

Pins are well marked. Small, but clear.
High value. Inexpensive and works well.
Beam is reflected by angle surfaces. Alignment is critical for accuracy.
5V complicates integration with Raspberry Pi GPIO (but simple, inexpensive solutions are available.)
Product works as advertised and delivery was clearly explained and tracked.

I'm impressed !

Review by Robert

For under 5$, I didn't expect this to work as good as it did.

I'll buy more of these !

Excellent product, library is great.

Review by John

I bought 12 of these sensors and with the 30° coverage they provide, I have complete collision avoidance on my robot. No problem with an Adruino Mega 2560 running all 12 at once.

Review by Justin

Good price, bought 3 of them, all worked perfectly.

Just like it says on the tin!

Review by Raymond

I've bought a few hundred of these from Robotshop and I've been so pleasantly surprised at how good they've been. A low price from a reputable supplier, who could ask for anything more. Use the ping library with 3 sample medians and they constantly give consistent results.

Excellent price

Review by Paul

Works as described in the documentation provided. Would definitely purchase again.

Competitive price and no spoilage!

Review by Raymond

These were the best deal on the internet: HCSR04s from a reliable vendor at a competitive price. And out of the 100 I ordered, there were no defectives, a big improvement over my prior eBay from Asia purchases.

works well

Review by gary

No hassle working with Arduino, worked first time using an example code!!

Mostly good.

Review by Professor (601)

This works pretty well, with two notes.

First, it really seems to be sensitive to voltage, so it you can't get a pretty solid 5v to it, don't cont on it working. Second, you might needs to adjust your maths from the (spartan) documentation based on how your microcontroller reads the echo.

But, for the price it's a great ultrasonic detector, too.

Great but a little crazy

Review by Calvin Khoo

The reason i mentioned a little crazy is there would be some moments where it senses distance to 300+ cm when it should be 6cm-9cm, so after I remove the supply and connect it back again. It would work fine again.

Works very well for the price.

Meets Expectations!

Review by Mike

Bought three and they all show similar resolution and reliability. Hard to beat for under three dollars!

stopped working

Review by Abraham

it glitched when it touched something, and stopped working. After a few days it didn't work at all

It works!

Review by Michael

Delivery was OK, and the products works exactly as described.

Does what it does well but has some limitations

Review by Thomas

We used three of these for an autonomous car project and they functioned well as long as the power supply was within the specified range. One disadvantage is that they are surface dependent and if the object they are ranging is to soft or is at too much of an angle they will not read it correctly. However this would happen for any ultrasonic so my guess is these are the best of their kind. get the arduino NewPing library to go with them and you are set!

Surprisingly good

Review by David

It is very accurate... +/- 1 cm off, sometimes right on it. While it will not be good for measuring precisely something, it will be really good for navigating an area and not hit walls.

Inexpensive and Easy to Use

Review by Lucas

While not recommended for precision tasks, it should be accurate enough for simple navigation.

Performance is good

Review by Mke

I am a little disappointed in the spec's. They give mounting hole dimensions/placement, but not cone dimensions/placement, so I guessed for the laser cut part, and of course missed. I will have to recut.
But otherwise performance is as expected, nothing great, nothing bad.

One of the best you can find

Review by David

The price is really good. I have tried it and it detects the objects very well although the precision at 500 centimeres is worst.
