Partner with RobotShop - Integration Services
RobotShop’s Robotics Integrator Program (RRIP) is intended to provide a high level of pre- and post-sale support to both customers and the manufacturer in regards to professional, industrial and service robots. There is almost zero investment on the part of the manufacturer, apart from any demo robots which the manufacturer continues to own, as well as time to train RobotShop staff.
Customers looking for these types of robots may have no robotics background (for example integrating a robot into a restaurant) or may have extensive robotics background (integrating many robots into a production environment), and the RRIP is intended to help these customers select the right technology, products and provide all of the information and services needed to get them running and keep them operational.
Advanced Technical Training
RobotShop staff work with the manufacturer to fully understand the robots we will be supporting. Material provided to RobotShop can include any of the following (if any information is confidential, please indicate so when sharing. An NDA can be signed as needed):
- User manuals & datasheets
- User software & higher level training
- Internal software for troubleshooting
- Online videos (available to public)
- Video training (private)
- Robot(s) for training (on loan)
- Company specific information
Pre-Sales Support
Consultation & Guided Support
RobotShop staff guide customers through the selection process, ensuring their needs and requirements are addressed. These may include general questions or specific needs. This can be done via email, telephone calls, video chat and in person.
Live Calls
RobotShop can offer customers telephone or video support both pre- and post-sales. Unlike other robots on robotshop.com where staff is less knowledgeable of the robot’s features, specifications and capabilities, and research is often needed before helping customers, Integrator staff can take telephone or video calls with customers.
Demonstrations
Whenever possible, customers always prefer to see the robot they plan to purchase in person. In order to be able to do so, RobotShop works with each partner to try to have a robot available at one or more of its locations / integration sites, though if only one robot is available, it would be best to have it at RobotShop’s headquarters. Main options for demo robots can include:
- Robot is provided to RobotShop on loan and not for resale
- Robot is offered as consignment / fulfillment and can be sold as “open box”
- RobotShop purchases the demo unit(s) at a deep discount
Training
RobotShop can offer in-person and remote training, as well as pre-recorded training to customers as needed
On-Site Commissioning & Setup
Certain customers may request that RobotShop staff help them in person at their company, which RobotShop can provide at the customer’s expense.
After-Sales Support
Repair Parts
A key part of the Integration Program is that RobotShop offers repair services and parts closer to the customer, which helps them avoid high transportation costs as well as long shipping delays, costs and uncertainties. The manufacturer provides parts used to repair robots within the scope of the agreement.
Within warranty
Parts used towards repairs for robots which are within the manufacturer warranty period would be provided by the manufacturer.
Outside of Warranty
Parts used towards repairs for robots which are outside of the manufacturer warranty period would be paid for by the customer as part of the repair service, as well time spent on the repair itself. RobotShop would then provide payment for such parts to the manufacturer.
RobotShop Repairs
RobotShop staff are knowledgeable in complex robot repair and have repair facilities at several locations. The training provided by the manufacturer is generally comprehensive enough to ensure RobotShop staff can determine if an issue with a robot is the fault of the customer / misuse. Staff include engineers, technicians and experienced repair professionals. RobotShop works with the manufacturer to list and document all repairs which would be covered by the warranty and associated training and reimbursements. Additional services may include helping customers update firmware, software, ship replacement parts and help customers replace them and more.
On-Site Repairs
Similarly to on-site commissioning, RobotShop staff can travel to the customer’s location to perform repairs. This greatly reduces downtime and ensures the repair is completed to the customer’s satisfaction.
