When the stock hotend on my Rep2X did me the favor or dying, I figured I'd have to buy a replacement before selling my Rep2X and ending my 2 year saga of air prints and utter disappointment. So I found this one on RobotShop and bought it mostly for the bargain price. And holy cow. Not only do I have no plans to sell the printer now, but you'll have to pry it from my cold dead hands. The RobotShop replacement is just fantastic. It didn't just replace a failed hotend, it made my Rep2X a 3D printing Ninja! I am getting results from it that are so vastly superior to anything I ever got previously that it defies logic. Dual extrusions, flex filaments, large prints, etc, it doesn't matter. I can literally click print and walk away and get perfect prints every time. I have done about 40 prints since getting it without a single fail. Even right out of the box my Rep2x was only getting good prints maybe 3-4 out of 10 times. RobotShop and this product in particular have given me a renewed enthusiasm for 3D printing that MakerBot almost killed. I'd give this part 10 stars if I could. Even if your stock hotend is working fine, do yourself a favor and replace it with this one. So much of the stock Rep2X setup is cheap and inferior. Buy this hotend, immediately use it to print new filament drives to replace the crappy stock ones and start 3D printing FOR REAL! You'll wonder why you didn't do it sooner.
