The line following using pid is better. but m unable to understand the procedure to do it on Pic 16 microcontroller...

will someone help with this? first i took values from sensor, subtracted it from correct value, hence i got error value, what to do after that?

Artificial Intelligence Questionaire

Hi Guys,

I'm new to robots etc. I am currently doing a school project on artificial intelligence and wanted to do some research. I thought why not go talk to the experts so here I am. I have already done some background research and already know the general definition but part of the project requires me to gain information from a range of sources. This is a kind of questionaire/interview to gain new sources from experts.

having trouble with power supply.

I have used a 40 x2 picaxe IC. My line follower has that,  L7805 voltage regulator , and  the IC L193D motor driver. I`m using 2 300rpm motors and 3 sensors.

My problem is , even though i gave a power supply of 18v, the power is not enough to drive the motors as well as activate the sensors. I can`t use a higher voltage supply because it will burn the picaxe IC.

Help? :S

Robotic arm mounted on an autonomous line follower

hello everyone.

I am working on a robotic arm mounted on an autonomous robot. I am done with the line following part. and It tracks the line pretty well. controlled 2 DC geared motors via fastPWM from atmega16 using motor driver l298, used LDRs and LM324 comparators for the line following. all the programming is done in avr studio 4 and used ponyprog to burn the code in atmega 16.
