Hi;

I am researching remote control methods for a Raspberry Pi based Robotics Platform for a Robotics competition in April next year. (Pi Wars).

Before I run off and purchase an RC Transmitter and Receiver and some RC switches as in this Instrucatble I thought I'd have a look at some of the junk I have laying around.

I have a couple of old RC cars that I dismantled a while ago and found this small Rx board on my workbench.

Custom robot transmitter and a few robots (Rpi, nodemcu and arduino)

Hi good people!

I have alot of robotic projects,and now I'm trying to make the one remote to control them all.

I have a lasercut box with a raspberry pi 3 inside, with the original 7 inch touch display, there is also two 3 axis joysticks. The touch display will do everything that I can't do with the joysticks. I currently have a quadroped robot using Phoenix Code controlled with a PS2 joypad. The interfacing on the touch display will be made in Kivy and python.

PWM on High Current(amp) Actuators

I'm trying to move up into the category I originally got into robotics for in the first place: bigger buddies!

I have a Raspberry Pi I'd like to use to control some linear actuators, which are 12v and lift about 225lbs. I'm unaware of their amp usage: a search for similar rated ones said ~4-5A. They were purchased from an online auto parts place, so it's unlikely they'd know.

Raspberry Pi Dagu Rover 5 4WD driving issue

Hi there,

I'm very new to robotics & I'm having an issue getting the Rover Wheels to spin properly. I've been able to get it to turn only in 1 direction, but only 1 channel at a time. When I attempt more than 1 channel, either they both slow down drastically or 1 stops turning while the other spins very slowly. (I guess this is a sign of power drain)

How to build your first robot?

Dear: LMR

Just to let you know guys it wasn't that long ago I asked my Dad if we could start a robot club at school. My dad brought it up to my princible and he did not have a problem with it. This robot club is probably going to teach people in highschool to build there first robot. I have no idea what robot I am going to teach highschoolers to build.

Raspberry pi and robots

Hello I was wondering how good a of a platform the Raspberry pi is for robots. Is their anything special I have to download to the pi in order for it to communicate to the robot? Or does it have those features right out of the box.
