Let's Make Robots! | RobotShop

Hello LMR! This is my current robot project. It's a continuation of my build style, which boils down to this: put more on the next robot, but make it all smaller! … Read more

Mini Robotic Shield

Make your first robot is a fun thing. Forces you to use creativity to solve those small problems. But not everyone has the space, tools (simple as it may be) available or sufficient knowledge to make your first robot from scratch, it makes some people give up in the early days ... fair will then prevent them to have fun as we make our robots? NO.

Uber cheap build idea, needing input...

I'm looking to build an uber-cheap robot arm, with the purpose of just sitting on my desk and picking up whatever i want it to... Probably stick with a basic control (independent forward, off, reverse switches on each motor) setup. What i'm trying to figure out is, I'm planning on using a standard 3 wire (forward, ground, reverse) style motor similar to that found in a cheap rc car, yet i can't find any places to buy them, except in the cars. any sugestions?

nanoDuino, sumo and soccer bots

Hi Everyone,

I'm starting with some new projects.

The first one is nanoDuino, an ultrasmall arduino, based on patrickmaccabe's one. This one has all the input and output's pins broken out and the sockets for FTDI and ICSP cables. It is 18,5x20,5 mm:

Mini Biped

I've been wanting to see something like this for a long time, and have never been able to make it.

A couple of people probably know games like WarHammer.

For those who dont, WarHammer is a stratagy game played with mini figurines, out of a Fantastic/Midivel times. Those figurines are generaly abaut an inch (about 2.5 cm) high, unless somekind of Troll or something.

Workspace and Workbench in an apartment

Hi - I'm new to building robotics, and have fooled around with a breadboard with some designs found online and in books. I think i'm ready to etch PCB, solder, create a body for a robot, etc etc - but my problem is that I live in an apartment and don't have a garage. Space isn't really the problem, i've attached a picture of where I want to set up, but the noise is... and also how portable everything is. i.e. when guests come over i'd like to move everything out of the way quite easily.
