Phoenix code any 3DOF 18 servo hexapod.

Hi everybody,

After 8 long months, some trigonometry lessons and a lot of experimentation I finally was able to get my hexapod running and walking great. I tried using several different servo controllers. A torobot, one stamped with a decepticon and a pololu. The sequencer programs are pretty cool but theres lil documentation (except the pololu but no hexapod code) and most of it is too vague to get them going using a code or micro-controller and the sequencer just cant capture that creepy walk.

help with arduino l298n code

Dear All,

i'm rying to code my arduino uno r3 to my l298n so that i can control 2 dc motors via my futaba receiver. i managed to get some movement from my motors but allbeit very jumpy.

any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Dagu Rover 5 encoders - weird behaviour !

Hi everyone,

I'm a newbie on this forum and globally on robotics.

I started a few months ago the build of an autonomous car (https://medium.com/@MAC1project/episode-1-one-car-to-rule-them-all-94f705ea9737) from scratch using :

  • Dagu Rover 5 - 2 motors - 2 encoders
  • Raspi 3
  • Explorer board RS017
  • Sensors: ultrasonic, sharp IR, neato lidar
  • ...

All my code is in NodeJS, yes yes, nodeJS :)...

I manage to drive manually the robot using my smartphone (either joystick or accelerometer).

Solarbotics kit# 1318 from LMR.com. Please help.

Sorry guys I'm new here but I'm just getting into small electronics and such. Something that' always interested me and now I'm an IBEW apprentice so I believe it will make school more interesting to learn.

Brand New: So I have a end goal but first I figured I should start with baby steps only... what are the baby steps?

Hello! So, my main goal is to build what I'm calling a Personal Android. I've nicknamed this project, Project PersAn. I have some limitied experience with building a desktop computer and some very light coding via Second Life and learning the LSL scripting. I basically know just enough with coding to be able to modify current code or write very basic code. Such as making an object say something in local chat when touched or bringing up a menu with options and either doing or giving something depending upon what's been clicked on.

Question about jump wires?

Hi, I'm a complete begginer to robotics and electronics in general.

I recently bought the LMR Start Here Robot Beginner Kit and am attempting to build it.

I'm just starting out and I'm already stumped. I've watched the tutorial vids here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z-MgYD-bQSM

but it doesn't seem to go into much detail in terms of a step by step guide which would have been helpful.

Rogue bot.. need some help

I’m having some problems with my project. I’m running a Sabertooth 2x32 motorcontroller flysky rc controller 2 35ah batteries run in series, and 2 24v wheelchair motors it will start running on its own after some time running

How can i utilize timer at this coding?

Hello, I'm a student from korea.

I'm looking for someone who are willing to help me.

I'm making a solar tracker to graduate now, and I'm almost done except for one thing.

The thing is, to improve the efficiency of it, i need to use timer.

There is a servo motor to track the light of the sun, and it makes some power loss.

So, I want to activate the motor periodically not in real time.

In other words, I have no idea of how to utilize it at my coding

This is what i made so far. Please refer to this.

Omni Directional Wheels

Hi all I have purchased some rotacastor wheels for 5 dollars a piece. As you can see the wheel on the left I have removed the bearing. I am trying to attach the wheel to the DC motor I have pictured below but I am not mechanically minded. I am trying to not drill into the wheels. If anyone has any ideas how I can do this please let me know.

Indoor navigation system?

So I'm working on a delivery bot for my office, the hardest part of which is the navagation system becuase I want it to be autonomous.

I have Wifi Access points I could use, maybe or gps repeaters.

Have any of you tackled this challenge or have some advice?

Thanks

Will this work?

Hi all, well you'll probably say my goals are a bit of a stretch for a beginer, but here it goes.

I would like to build a servelance robot, that could travel around my property, and send images, remote control, and hopefully other future enhancemnts via wifi to my computer.

Since I am on a limited budget, I was thinking about using this old RC monster truck as as the motivation. Its too fast I'm sure, but it is also good in bumpy terrain,

Looking for inexpensive web-based label printer

Hey Guys,

Slightly off the topic of robots, but I can't think of a better repository of smart problem solvers.

completely lost with rover 5 and dagu comotion shield

hi there,

I'm an app programmer trying to get into the hardware world.

I bought myself an arduino uno a rover 5 2 motors and 2 encoders  and the comotion shield(https://robosavvy.com/store/dagu-commotion-motor-driver-shield.html)  hoping to be able to follow this tutorial :

https://create.arduino.cc/projecthub/15ashworthh/controlling-the-dagu-rover-5-66c8bf

I still can't figure which wires are for the encoders and which for the motors.

Am i being silly but I don't see it anywhere in the rover 5 manual~ :(

Full scale human torso on a hexapod, how to start planning?

Hey everyone!

I'm quite new to he scene. I am basically somewhat qualified in AI concepts and Programming, yet I totally lack any engineering skills. Would like to learn them en passant though.

So, what I am trying to build is a "true scale" human torso (well, basically a Spine, a Rib Cage [for Style reasons], a Head (cams and speaker), and sooner or later two arms (for budget reasons I'd like to add the arms later on, I'll just need to prepare the other parts so they can be added)).

CNC kit recommendation?

Dear: LMR

Hey guys I really want to build a cnc. I have never owned or used a cnc and I have been doing a ton of research on them. Here's the thing I already have access to a cnc and am waiting to take a class on one. That cnc is at my makerspace. I want to build my own cnc for reasons that are primarily to learn how to build one and to kill some free time. But mostly to have fun. I don't want a massive cnc something that can fit on a desktop and that can most importantly engrave into soft stone like marble for artwork and such. Any recommendations? Thanks!!!

most newbie person wants help with simplest project

Hello,

New here but have a very specific project.

I essentially want a compact programmable servo.

i need a motor that will be able to hold a 400g load and be able to be programmed to oscillate at different degrees and frequencies.

eg 5deg at 1hz for 1 min then 25deg at 5hz etc etc.

a programmable chip so that i can program it via pc or smartphone prior to it doing the sequence would be ideal.

does this make sense?

i dont even know where to start with this. I am trying to invent something.

Uart to Analog job

 Hello.

I need this sensor https://www.robotshop.com/eu/en/benewake-tfmini-micro-lidar-module-12-m.html to output an analog AC voltage (any frequency, shape - sware, sine etc.).

It needs a microcontroller, something that I need but unable to complete the task.

So, I'm willing to pay a fee for the complete package.

 Any help is appreciated.

 Thank you,

 Antonio

Writing Boe-Bot Project

This year is my first year ever doing robotics or using Boe-Bots. My teacher assigned me this project where I have to somehow attach a writing utensil to the Boe-Bot and then when the teacher puts a word into the program the robot writes the word on a piece of paper.
