The AndyMark EVO Shifter am14u Family Hex Shaft, StageA 2 Stage - 10.86:1 Ratio, StageB 2 Stage - 04.77:1 Ratio represents a significant advancement in shifting transmission gearboxes. This two-speed, shift-on-the-fly gearbox incorporates an enhanced 4-tooth dog shifting method, allowing for smooth and efficient transitions between gears. It is compatible with two CIM or NEO motors and can be configured with either two or three interior stages, offering flexibility in output shaft selection. The gearbox is delivered assembled, though motors are not installed.

Notable improvements include a robust 1/8" diameter shoulder screw and a dog gear made from AMPCO® 18 Bronze, which provides increased strength and lubricity compared to previous stainless steel designs. The shift block assembly has been reinforced with a larger bearing and threaded steel housing. The input stage utilizes 32 DP gears and a 15-tooth pinion gear, facilitating a high 85:15 first stage reduction. Users can independently select high and low ratios, with the option to swap ratios as needed. Additional encoder options are available, enhancing the gearbox's versatility.

The EVO Shifter features aggressive weight reduction through machined gears and plates, and its cluster gears are designed for easy assembly without orientation concerns. An optional third stage offers additional ratio choices. The gearbox can be mounted to an AM14U family chassis or a 2"x1" box tube frame. It employs a pneumatic shift method with a spring-extend pneumatic cylinder, allowing for shifting during acceleration, pushing, or deceleration.

The gearbox requires proper greasing for optimal operation and longevity, with a recommended break-in period before applying grease. The encoder ratio for two-stage versions is 3:1, ensuring precise control and feedback. The EVO Shifter is a robust and adaptable solution for various applications, providing enhanced performance and reliability.
