The AndyMark EVO Shifter am14u Family Hex Shaft, StageA 2 Stage - 18.71:1 Ratio, StageB 2 Stage - 05.45:1 Ratio represents a significant advancement in shifting transmission gearboxes. This two-speed, shift-on-the-fly gearbox incorporates an enhanced 4-tooth dog shifting mechanism, allowing for seamless transitions between gears. It is compatible with two CIM or NEO motors and can be configured with either two or three interior stages, offering flexibility in output shaft selection. The gearbox is delivered assembled, though motors are not pre-installed.

The EVO Shifter features several improvements over previous models, including a robust 1/8" diameter shoulder screw and a dog gear made from AMPCO® 18 Bronze, which provides increased strength and lubricity. The shift block assembly is reinforced with a larger bearing and threaded steel housing. The input stage utilizes 32 DP gears and a 15-tooth pinion gear, achieving a high first stage reduction of 85:15. Users can independently select high and low gear ratios and swap them as needed, with additional encoder options available.

The gearbox is designed with aggressive weight reduction features and can be mounted to an AM14U family chassis or a 2"x1" box tube frame. It employs a pneumatic shift method powered by a spring-extend pneumatic cylinder, enabling shifts during acceleration, pushing, or deceleration. The gearbox's weight ranges from 2.9 to 3.5 pounds, depending on the stage configuration.

Note: Proper greasing is essential for optimal operation and longevity of the gearbox. It is recommended to run the gearbox for 30 minutes without grease for initial wear-in before applying grease periodically.
