The AndyMark EVO Shifter Short Hex Shaft, StageA 3 Stage - 05.45:1 Ratio 1.14:1, StageB 3 Stage - 25.90:1 Ratio 1.14:1 represents a significant advancement in shifting transmission gearboxes. This two-speed, shift-on-the-fly gearbox incorporates a refined 4-tooth dog shifting mechanism, allowing for smooth and efficient transitions between gears. It is compatible with two CIM or NEO motors and can be configured with either two or three interior stages, offering flexibility in performance. The gearbox is shipped assembled, though motors are not installed.

The EVO Shifter features several enhancements over previous models, including a robust 1/8" diameter shoulder screw and a dog gear made from AMPCO® 18 Bronze, which provides increased strength and lubricity. The shift block assembly is reinforced with a larger bearing and threaded steel housing, ensuring durability. The input stage utilizes 32 DP gears and a 15-tooth pinion gear, achieving a high first stage reduction of 85:15. Users have the ability to independently select high and low gear ratios, and can interchange ratios as needed.

The gearbox is equipped with aggressive weight reduction features and allows for easy assembly due to the uniform design of the cluster gears. It also supports a pneumatic shift method, utilizing a spring-extend pneumatic cylinder for reliable operation even under varying conditions. The gearbox's design facilitates mounting to an AM14U family chassis or a 2"x1" box tube frame, enhancing its versatility in different applications.

The EVO Shifter includes a 15 Tooth 32DP pinion gear and offers various encoder options, such as the US Digital E4T encoder. The gearbox requires proper greasing for optimal performance, with a recommended break-in period to ensure smooth operation. The encoder ratio for two-stage versions is 3:1, providing precise control and feedback. The gearbox's construction features high-quality materials, including 4140 steel output shafts and 1/4" thick aluminum side plates, ensuring reliability and longevity.
