The Hiwonder Turbopi Raspberry Pi Omnidirectional Mecanum Wheels Robot Car Kit w/ Camera, Open Source, Python for Beginners (Raspberry Pi incl)is built on a Mecanum wheel chassis and powered by a Raspberry Pi 4B. It is equipped with a 120 degree wide angle camera and uses OpenCV to process images. Additionally, it features a RGB glowy ultrasonic sensor whose light can be adjusted, allowing the robot to avoid obstacles smartly. It also supports a variety of sensors to turn your creative AI ideas into reality. Abundant tutorials and Python source codes are provided to help you quickly advance into robot technology, machine vision and artificial intelligence.
The Turbopi has 360 degree omnidirectional movement. It is equipped with four omnidirectional mecanum wheels, which enable it to move in any direction and challenge various complicated routes. It also has a 2DOF pan tilt for a 360 degree view with two anti blocking servos that can rotate 130 degrees vertically and 180 degrees horizontally.
The Turbopi is powered by the Raspberry Pi and is programmed in Python3. It is skilled in face tracking, color tracking, QR code recognition, gesture recognition, object recognition, license plate recognition, line following and many more AI games. With OpenCV, it can track specific colors and move with the object of that color. It also supports two tracking modes, allowing the pan tilt or pan tilt together with the car body to move with the target. Additionally, it is capable of gesture recognition, allowing it to interact with you based on the number of fingers.
The Turbopi has two driving modes: visual line following and following with a four channel line follower. With OpenCV, it extracts a ROI area, removes noise to locate the line on binary image, and uses a PID algorithm to perform direction calibration. The four channel line follower uses four infrared probes to detect and follow the line.
The Turbopi also has autonomous driving capabilities, combining the four channel line follower and camera to recognize traffic light and road signs. It can be controlled with an Android or iOS app, allowing you to switch game modes quickly and experience various AI games. It also supports FPV transmitted image, allowing you to have a real time robot control experience.
The Turbopi has a hard aluminium alloy chassis that protects the core control board from shattering and shock. It also has high performance pan tilt servos with higher accuracy and longer service life, as well as a HD 120 degree wide angle camera. Additionally, it is equipped with a four channel line follower with IIC interface and a glowy ultrasonic sensor with IIC interface for obstacle avoidance.
