The Pololu 227:1 Metal Gearmotor 25Dx71L mm LP 6V w/ 48 CPR Encoder is a sophisticated component designed for precision motion control applications. It integrates a low-power, 6 V brushed DC motor with a robust 226.76:1 metal spur gearbox, offering a high-resolution quadrature encoder that provides 10,884.47 counts per revolution of the gearbox’s output shaft. This cylindrical gearmotor features a compact design with a diameter of just under 25 mm and a D-shaped output shaft extending 12.5 mm from the gearbox face plate.
The gearmotor's encoder utilizes a two-channel Hall effect sensor to detect the rotation of a magnetic disk on the motor shaft, delivering a resolution of 48 counts per revolution. This setup allows for precise monitoring of motor speed and direction, essential for applications requiring accurate control. The motor and encoder are equipped with six color-coded leads terminated by a 1×6 female header, compatible with standard 0.1″ male headers.
Mounting options include a face plate with threaded holes for M3 screws, compatible with custom-designed brackets for secure installation. The 4 mm diameter output shaft is versatile, supporting various wheels and hubs, including Pololu multi-hub wheels and universal aluminum mounting hubs. If you are not satisfied for whatever reason with a Product you bought on the Site, it is possible to return it for refund within 30 days from the date you received it unless otherwise indicated in the Product listing. You must first advise the Vendor associated with your order in your account to obtain a return authorization (‘’RA’’) number before returning a Product. (‘’RA’’) numbers are valid for 30 days, within which time the returned Products should be received by the Vendor. No returns will be accepted without having previously obtained an (‘’RA’’) number. The Product must then be returned in its original packaging (in perfect condition for resale) with its receipt and your (‘’RA’’) number. Reimbursement will be denied for any Products which do not conform to the above mentioned conditions.
Build-it-yourself Robot Parts are not refundable once assembled. Robots & Kits requiring assembly or soldering are also not refundable once assembled, soldered or modified in any way. All sales of robotic software and apps are final and cannot be refunded or exchanged. Returns are not accepted on special orders and clearance items except when they are found defective, in which case the Product may be repaired or replaced at the Vendor’s discretion. 20% Restocking fees may apply if you are returning a large quantity of the same Product that was ordered specifically for you from the manufacturer.
Please note that all items will be reimbursed within 7 to 14 days of receiving the Product (shipping fees excluded). You must also cover the cost of returning the Product. Shipping fees will only be refunded if the return is a result of a shipping error on our part. Cleaning fees of USD 100 may also be charged if a domestic robot is returned and has not been properly cleaned.
