The CNC-ready configuration of this mill includes factory-installed stepper motor mounts, replacing traditional handwheels. This setup is prepared for the addition of stepper motors and computer numeric controls, although these components are not included. Users are encouraged to install dual-shaft stepper motors, which allow for the attachment of handwheels for manual control when necessary. Handwheels are provided with the machine, but they require the installation of stepper motors to be functional.

The machine features a powerful 90V DC motor with an electronic speed controller, ensuring precise control over spindle speed. The base and table are equipped with laser-engraved scales, enhancing measurement accuracy during operation. The table includes two T-slots, providing secure mounting options for workpieces. Additional features include a 2-inch column riser block and a ¼-inch drill chuck with a key, enhancing the machine's versatility.

The Sherline mill is designed with durability in mind, featuring oil reservoirs on the X, Y, and Z axes to maintain lubrication of critical components. Note: CNC-ready machines cannot be operated manually unless double-shaft stepper motors are installed.
