The Waveshare SIM7000E NB-IoT / Cat-M / EDGE / GPRS HAT for Raspberry Pi, GNSS (Europe, Africa, Australia, Southeast Asia) is a sophisticated telecommunication module designed for integration with Raspberry Pi. It supports a range of communication protocols including NB-IoT, Cat-M, EDGE, and GPRS, alongside GNSS positioning capabilities. This module is particularly advantageous for Internet of Things (IoT) applications due to its compact size, low latency, and extensive coverage, making it suitable for intelligent instruments, asset tracking, remote monitoring, and e-health solutions.

This HAT is equipped with a standard Raspberry Pi 40PIN GPIO extension header, ensuring compatibility with various Raspberry Pi series boards. It facilitates communication through multiple protocols such as TCP, UDP, PPP, HTTP, FTP, MQTT, SMS, and Mail. The GNSS positioning function supports multiple satellite systems including GPS, BeiDou, GLONASS, and Galileo, providing precise location tracking.

The module includes an onboard USB interface for testing AT Commands and obtaining GPS positioning data. It features a SIM card slot compatible with both standard SIM cards and NB-IoT specific cards, and it is controllable via AT commands.
