Introduction

Thank you for your interest in partnering with RobotShop. The “consignment” partnership option (also known as “fulfillment”) is where the supplier sends RobotShop the inventory for RobotShop to offer to customers via various websites at the MSRP / MAP. The supplier retains ownership of this inventory until it is sold. Once sold, RobotShop provides the supplier the agreed upon distributor / reseller / wholesaler cost from the amount received from the customer.

• Start with as low as only one or two units of each product in each warehouse
• Allows the supplier to have many products listed on RobotShop.com 
• RobotShop handles everything from product listing and translations to low level technical support and shipping to customers
• RobotShop does not charge a fee for warehousing
• Automated purchasing system; RobotShop will place orders for forecast quantities.

Margin Considerations

RobotShop’s margin is calculated as follows:

Margin (%)  = 100 * (MSRP - Cost) / MSRP

RobotShop’s margin takes the following into consideration:

• Shipping from the Supplier: RobotShop’s main warehouse is located in Mirabel, just north of Montreal, Canada. If RobotShop covers shipping to our warehouse(s), the fees incurred for more expensive shipping (farther distances, heavier or larger objects) must be factored into the margin.
• Shipping to customers: RobotShop covers shipping to the customer for orders beyond a certain amount in certain regions.
• Product Size: Larger products take up more space in warehouses. When RobotShop stocks the products, this must be factored into the margin. 
• Product Listing & Translations: RobotShop takes the information provided by the supplier and optimizes it for SEO and multiple languages
• Pre & post-sales support: In most cases, RobotShop handles pre-sales inquiries as well as low level technical support and troubleshooting
• Merchandise returns & exchanges: In most cases, RobotShop covers shipping of a defective product back to RobotShop (return label)
• Marketing: RobotShop will market your products with search engine marketing campaigns via Google, Facebook etc.

Onboarding Procedure

1. RobotShop and supplier negotiate the details of the agreement
• In which regions RobotShop can resell the product(s)
• Margins & shipping
• Initial quantities of each product for each warehouse
• Warranty terms
2. Supplier proposes robotic related products at acceptable margins
3. Easy to fill, surveys and product sheet will be sent in order to successfully complete the onboarding process.
4. RobotShop selection team chooses which products to obtain from the supplier
5. RobotShop takes care of listing the product(s) and translations
6. RobotShop places a purchase order ($0 amount) for the products
7. Supplier ships the products to RobotShop using DDP incoterms
8. Initial quantities do not need to be high (ex. one or two units per warehouse per product)
9. Seller retains ownership of the stock until sold to the customer
10. RobotShop takes care of shipping to customers.
11. RobotShop provides a report and payment for products sold during the previous month.
12. Once there is enough sales information, our software predicts demand and takes over and places purchase orders ($0 amounts) from you
