Description
Economical platform of 3WD omni-wheel
Easy to install
Programmable Arduino microcontroller board
Arduino 328 Controller
Comes assembled with only wheels not attached
The 3WD 100mm Omni-Directional Triangle Mobile Robot Kit is based on a 3WD omni-wheel chaise. It could move in any direction by changing the velocity and direction of each wheels without changing its orientation. This robot help you get acquainted with the omni-wheel platform, embedded system. Its aluminum alloy body and pre-drilled hole for screws make it convenient for you to add components as you like.
Omni-directional wheels are unique as they are able to roll freely in two directions. It can either roll like a normal wheel or roll laterally using the wheels along its circumference. Omni-direction wheels allow a robot to convert from a non-holonomic to a holonomic robot. A non-holonomic robot that uses normal wheels has only 2 out of 3 controllable degrees of freedom which are, moving forward/backwards and rotation. Not being able to move side ways makes a robot slower and less efficient in reaching its given goal. The holonomic omni-directional wheels are able to overcome this problem, as it is a highly maneuverable. Unlike normal non-holonomic robot, the holonomic omni-directional robot can move in an arbitrary direction continuously without changing the direction of the wheels. It can move back and forth, sideways and rotates at the same position.
Features:
Encode motors
Pre-drilled holes and spare space make it expandable
Arduino 328 microcontroller board
It is a microcontroller board based on the Arduino 168. It has 14 digital input/output pins (of which 6 can be used as PWM outputs), 8 analog inputs, a 16 MHz crystal oscillator, a USB connection, a power jack, an ICSP header, and a reset button. It contains everything needed to support the microcontroller; simply connect it to a computer with a USB cable or power it with a AC-to-DC adapter or battery to get started.
Arduino IO Expansion
Nexus Robot provides the ultimate functional expansion for Arduino IO Expansion V1.2 and gives you extra ease to connect device such as sensors, servo and RS485 device. This sensor expansion board is able to easily connect a number of commonly used sensors.
If you are not satisfied for whatever reason with a Product you bought on the Site, it is possible to return it for refund within 30 days from the date you received it unless otherwise indicated in the Product listing. You must first advise the Vendor associated with your order in your account to obtain a return authorization (‘’RA’’) number before returning a Product. (‘’RA’’) numbers are valid for 30 days, within which time the returned Products should be received by the Vendor. No returns will be accepted without having previously obtained an (‘’RA’’) number. The Product must then be returned in its original packaging (in perfect condition for resale) with its receipt and your (‘’RA’’) number. Reimbursement will be denied for any Products which do not conform to the above mentioned conditions.
Build-it-yourself Robot Parts are not refundable once assembled. Robots & Kits requiring assembly or soldering are also not refundable once assembled, soldered or modified in any way. All sales of robotic software and apps are final and cannot be refunded or exchanged. Returns are not accepted on special orders and clearance items except when they are found defective, in which case the Product may be repaired or replaced at the Vendor’s discretion. 20% Restocking fees may apply if you are returning a large quantity of the same Product that was ordered specifically for you from the manufacturer.
Please note that all items will be reimbursed within 7 to 14 days of receiving the Product (shipping fees excluded). You must also cover the cost of returning the Product. Shipping fees will only be refunded if the return is a result of a shipping error on our part. Cleaning fees of USD 100 may also be charged if a domestic robot is returned and has not been properly cleaned.
