  • Linear servo with a larger motor for increased force
  • Superior alternative to designing push/pull mechanisms
  • Maximum speed (no load): 20mm/s
  • Electrical stroke: 48mm

The Actuonix L16 Actuator 50mm 63:1 6V RC Control is the big brother of L12 series and features a larger motor for increased force. These linear servos operate as a direct replacement for standard analog rotary servos. They use the same standard 3 wire connector, ground power and control. The L16 servo will function in place of a regular servo, but with the added benefit of providing linear motion. These hobby grade units are constructed using an anodized aluminum shaft, metal gearbox, steel screw and steel ball bearings.

NOTE: The L16-R will not operate plug-and-play with Futaba receivers such as the R6014FS that output 2.7 volts. You will need a Smart Fly Power Expander or Orbit Power Jack to bring the signal level up to 6vdc for the L16-R to operate.

  • Peak power point: 75N @10mm/s

  • Mass: 56g
  • Positional accuracy: 0.3mm
  • Max side load (extended): 40N
  • Feedback potentiometer: 9kΩ±30%

Very good and precise

It is very precise in position. Sufficiently robust.

Great service great parts

I convert vintage Tonka toys to full RC. I only use Acutronix actuators from robot shop

Fantastic products! worked really well

Firgelli actuator

I've used these before & they are lovely little units. Work great with RC controllers. I use them in conjunction with Arduinos. The faster they are the less force they can deliver so keep that in mind when designing stuff. You get a pretty good set of bits to help attach these to your project. Really the website would do well to include these in their picture. You get 2 clips to hold the wiring to the actuator body, 2 brackets to help mount it. The moving end has an eye fitted but this can be replaced with a plastic stud & nut. The threads are all imperial from what I can see. Pros: Nice action, reasonably quiet, reasonably linear. Cons: expensive as a servo (if only these were £5 each) . My only other gripe is really with the availability. There are a lot of items shown on the website but at the time of writing few were in stock. I plan to buy some more when available.

These work great and are quite powerful for their size. Lots of hardware though some of it is kind of flimsy. Would buy again.
