  • Monitor UVC lamp efficiency
  • Transmit wireless data via LoRaWAN
  • Support Bluetooth and OTA updates
  • Operate on ultra-low power
  • Ensure long-term use with 8500mAh battery

The Dragino LoRaWAN UVC Radation Sensor (8500mAh Li/SOCl2 / US915) is an advanced device designed for monitoring the intensity of ultraviolet lamps within indoor environments. This sensor is integral to Internet of Things solutions, as it converts UVC intensity into LoRaWAN wireless data, which is then transmitted to an IoT platform via a LoRaWAN gateway. The device is particularly useful for ensuring the operational efficacy of UVC lamps, which can degrade over time, and for preventing their operation at unintended times.

Utilizing LoRa wireless technology, the sensor is capable of sending data over extremely long distances at low data rates, offering ultra-long range spread spectrum communication with high interference immunity while minimizing power consumption. The sensor supports Bluetooth configuration and wireless over-the-air updates, enhancing user convenience. It is powered by an 8500mAh Li-SOCI2 battery, designed for long-term use of up to five years.

Each sensor is pre-loaded with unique keys for LoRaWAN registration, enabling automatic connection to a local LoRaWAN server upon activation. The device operates on the US915 frequency band and supports LoRaWAN 1.0.3 Class A. It features ultra-low power consumption and is capable of detecting both the working status and efficiency of UVC lamps, with a peak response spectrum at 254nm. Additionally, it monitors battery levels and supports periodic uplinks and configurable downlinks.

Note: UVC radiation is harmful to human health, and appropriate precautions should be taken when using this sensor to monitor UVC lamps.
