Description

  • Dampened VTail 400-500 Landing Upgrade
  • Two height position adjustable
  • Non slip Rubber ends

Some people need a little more "damping" when landing the VTail platforms. Therefore, we designed the Lynxmotion VTail 400/500 Soft Landing Kit, a special landing system that can bend instead of the standard fixed version. This system also allows the user to select between two different frame heights.

Works really well

This kit is slightly heavier than the stock landing gear, but is well worth it, especially if you are using longer rotors.

Good but could be better

The concept is good, much better than the landing gear that came with the kit (seems like it should have came with the kit) but is still pretty flimsy. If you’re an experienced flyer it’s not an issue but for a newbie like me not so good. I broke the rear one the first time out.

Higher than grass, bouncier landings

I'm a pretty new drone pilot, which means when I take my quad out, it's probably going to crash. My VTail's first "incident" was within a week of having it flightworthy. The challenge for me was the VTail's original legs weren't tall enough to keep the propellers out of the grass, and lifting off on cement or pavement means I have to work with hard landings that can damage my quad. This kit solves both problems: Giving me the option to take off on grass, and the ability to more safely land on cement.
