Super Handy Board - Simple to Use

I've used these in about six projects so far, and I need to get some more. I use them mostly for 12V loads, but they are capable of so much more. PWM control is handy. My other favorite, if I'm low on pins or need more than 6 outputs is the "8-Channel Relay Driver Shield", also by Freetronics. It doesn't handle much current or voltage (only 150ma and 24V) and doesn't do PWM, but it uses the I2C bus so you can stack them, just change the I2C address of one of them.

Great product

The instructions were clear, and everything worked the first time I tried it out. Cost effective. I'm very pleased.

Grade A - Great design and construction... useful

All smiles here... This simple board is well designed, well constructed, well "documented" (i.e. very helpful / informative silk screen on PCB top). The "FET Status" LED's are a very helpful and thoughtful touch too. Some of the long Arduino header pins were slightly bent on arrival... but that will be true for nearly any shield board. Long skinny pins bend, and that is just a fact of life. This *VERY MINOR* finding in no way detracts from the use nor utility of this board. Well done FREETRONICS... An excellent product and a very good value.
