The Opt Lasers TEC-8A-24V-PID-HC-RS232 Programmable Temperature Controller is engineered for precise temperature regulation within a range of -70 to 70 degrees Celsius. It boasts a stabilization accuracy of up to +/-0.05 degrees Celsius, guaranteeing exceptional temperature stability and reliability. This controller is equipped with both heating and cooling functionalities, eliminating the need for jumper configuration.
It features an open collector output, enabling it to function as a signal for other devices. The clear LED indicators offer visual feedback on the heating or cooling activity. This controller is specifically designed to operate with 12 V Peltier modules, but it also accommodates modules operating within the 5 to 24 V supply voltage range.
Operating in Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) mode, the controller can handle currents up to 8 A. It employs the 10k NTC B3950 temperature sensor, and the default temperature setpoint is configured at 20 degrees Celsius. The adjustable PID controller parameters make this driver adaptable to nearly any system.
Important Note: The controller lacks reverse polarity protection. If the temperature exceeds 70 °C or drops below -70 °C, the driver will not power the Peltier module.
