The Seeedstudio Sensecap S200 High-Precision Wind Speed & Direction Sensor is a sophisticated weather sensor that utilizes ultrasonic technology to measure wind speed and direction. This sensor is particularly suitable for use in challenging environments such as outdoor settings, agricultural areas, and smart cities. It can be utilized in conjunction with the SenseCAP LoRaWAN Data Logger or the SenseCAP 4G Data Logger.
The SenseCAP S200 Weather Sensor is engineered to endure severe conditions while providing precise data to facilitate informed decision-making. It boasts an industrial-grade design with an operating temperature range of -40 to +85 °C. With an IP66 rating, this sensor is both waterproof and dustproof, making it ideal for outdoor applications. It employs an RS485 (MODBUS-RTU) / SDI-12 output interface.
The SenseCAP S200 Wind Speed and Direction Weather Sensor is instrumental in collecting and monitoring wind speed and direction data, which is vital in various application scenarios, including smart city projects. Its IP66 certification ensures robustness, enabling it to withstand even the harshest outdoor environments. The sensor employs ultrasound to measure wind speed and direction, as opposed to a traditional mechanical 3-cup or vane anemometer. This reduces the number of movable parts, making the sensor less prone to breakage and easier to maintain without compromising precision or manpower.
The SenseCAP ONE series employs the RS 485 (MODBUS-RTU) / SDI-12 communication protocol, allowing the SenseCAP ONE compact weather sensor to be used with any data logger that supports RS485 (MODBUS-RTU) / SDI-12. The sensor has undergone six reliability tests before release, ensuring its ability to perform optimally under extreme conditions.
The primary parameters measured by this device are wind speed and direction. It operates on a power supply of 12V~24V (Heating power supply) and comes with a 3m cable. The operating temperature and humidity range is -40 ~ + 85 °C, 0 ~ 100%RH. The device weighs 2 kg.

If you are not satisfied for whatever reason with a Product you bought on the Site, it is possible to return it for refund within 30 days from the date you received it unless otherwise indicated in the Product listing. You must first advise the Vendor associated with your order in your account to obtain a return authorization (‘’RA’’) number before returning a Product. (‘’RA’’) numbers are valid for 30 days, within which time the returned Products should be received by the Vendor. No returns will be accepted without having previously obtained an (‘’RA’’) number. The Product must then be returned in its original packaging (in perfect condition for resale) with its receipt and your (‘’RA’’) number. Reimbursement will be denied for any Products which do not conform to the above mentioned conditions.
Build-it-yourself Robot Parts are not refundable once assembled. Robots & Kits requiring assembly or soldering are also not refundable once assembled, soldered or modified in any way. All sales of robotic software and apps are final and cannot be refunded or exchanged. Returns are not accepted on special orders and clearance items except when they are found defective, in which case the Product may be repaired or replaced at the Vendor’s discretion. 20% Restocking fees may apply if you are returning a large quantity of the same Product that was ordered specifically for you from the manufacturer.
Please note that all items will be reimbursed within 7 to 14 days of receiving the Product (shipping fees excluded). You must also cover the cost of returning the Product. Shipping fees will only be refunded if the return is a result of a shipping error on our part. Cleaning fees of USD 100 may also be charged if a domestic robot is returned and has not been properly cleaned.
