The Waveshare General Driver Board, ESP32-Based, Supports WIFI, Bluetooth & ESP-NOW is a versatile piece of technology that is compatible with Raspberry Pi and Jetson Nano. This multi-functional driver board is specifically designed for robots, offering a wide range of possibilities. It is built on the ESP32-WROOM-32 module, which supports various forms of wireless communication such as WIFI, Bluetooth, and ESP-NOW.
The board features onboard motor control interfaces that can accommodate either two DC motors with encoders or four DC motors without encoders, divided into two groups. It also includes onboard serial bus servos control interfaces, capable of controlling up to 253 ST3215 serial bus servos and receiving feedback from these servos.
In addition, the board is equipped with an onboard 9-axis IMU, which can provide attitude and heading information at any given time. It supports a power input range of 7~13V and can be powered directly by a 2S or 3S lithium battery module. The board also includes an automatic download circuit for easy program uploading and supports input voltage/current monitoring.
Additional features include an onboard TF card slot, a Laser Lidar interface, and an integrated UART to USB function. The board also has an I2C interface for connecting peripherals such as OLED, IMU, and other I2C devices. It also includes a multi-functional extended header for additional functions, such as controlling servos or relays.
The board comes with a 40-Pin GPIO header for connecting and powering the host computer, such as a Raspberry Pi or Jetson Nano, and can communicate via serial port or I2C. The General Driver Board for Robots also provides open-source demos and detailed tutorials for beginners, making it easy to get started with this technology.
