The Unitree B2 Industrial-Grade Quadruped Robot Dog w/ Nav Kit, built by Unitree Robotics, is an industrial-grade legged quadruped platform engineered for autonomous deployment in challenging real-world environments. This variant of the B2 series integrates a navigation kit that adds autonomous path planning and environmental perception on top of the platform's high-performance locomotion system. The B2 maintains stable operation across slippery surfaces, uneven terrain, staircases, and obstacle-laden environments. It is designed for utility infrastructure inspection, emergency rescue operations, and large-scale industrial facility monitoring.

The navigation capability uses infrared scanning and three-dimensional mapping to generate real-time environmental models for route planning and obstacle avoidance without continuous operator input. Deployment is flexible, supporting direct teleoperation as well as fully autonomous mission modes depending on application requirements. Extended battery runtime and autonomous charging solutions together support prolonged fieldwork with reduced downtime (charging dock sold separately). The Navigation Kit is a hardware and software add-on that turns the B2 into a fully autonomous platform. Rather than simply adding a sensor, the kit integrates a dedicated LiDAR, its own navigation compute unit, and an onboard autonomy software stack that handles localization, mapping, and route execution without requiring constant operator input.

The result is a robot capable of executing pre-defined or dynamically planned missions across complex terrain, building a real-time 3D map of its surroundings, and detecting and routing around obstacles, all without human guidance.
